Manx athlete Keith Gerrard battled through the snow and very muddy conditions in northern France to finish 14th at the World University Cross Country Championships.
Gerrard was the second Great Britain athlete to cross the line as the team won the silver medal.
The Peel runner and St. Mary's College team-mate Andy Vernon had gained pre-selection to the event from their performances at the British Universities Championships.
Vernon finished sixth overall completing the 10.8 kilometre course in 36 minutes and 38 seconds.
Gerrard recorded a time of 37 minutes and 19 seconds in the atrocious conditions.
