Peel’s Keith Gerrard finished in a fine 35th position on his competitive debut at marathon distance in Holland on Sunday.
The former British cross-country champion completed the Rotterdam Marathon in a time of two hours, 26 minutes and 27 seconds to come in 35th out of 11,879 competitors.
Gerrard, who has won Island Games medals at 1,500 metres and 5,000 metres, warmed up for the Dutch race with an eight kilometre event in New Orleans last month.
