Manxman Keith Gerrard has secured a place in the Great Britain and Northern Ireland cross-country team.
The Peel athlete sealed his spot while competing at the British trial for the European Cross-Country Championships.
In his first competitive outing of the season, Gerrard finished third - giving him an automatic place in the six man team.
Thanks to support from Microgaming and The Manx Sports Aid Foundation, Keith returned to the UK on Thursday following altitude training in New Mexico ahead of the trial.
He said: ‘I’ve had a good training block in Albuquerque, but I needed a fast race like today to sharpen up for the championships.’
This year’s championships will be held in Belgrade with the event being televised live on Sunday, December 8.
