Champion walker puts injury aside
Richard Gerrard has finished first in today's Ramsey Bakery End2End Walk.
The Parish Walk record holder completed the 39.2 mile trek from the Point of Ayre to the Sound in just over six hours, 38 minutes and 20 seconds.
Hopes of a fourth victory for him were dashed this year by a back injury.
Richard told Manx Radio today marks the end of that episode:
Adam Killip finished in second place (7.05.08) with David Walker in third (7.08.52).
The leading woman was Karen Lawrie in sixth place overall (7.36.52) from Bernie Johnson (7.48.11) and Ewa Kowalewska (7.51.02).
