For the first time in history, a toss of a coin was employed to decide who will wear the number one vest at this year's Manx Telecom Parish Walk.
Richard Gerrard and Vinny Lynch crossed the line together to be joint winners of last year's race.
At the launch this lunchtime, Community, Culture and Leisure Minister Graham Cregeen flipped a coin for Richard to call tails.
It was the correct call so Richard will start as number one and Vinny Lynch will sport number two.
The 2013 Parish Walk will the 100th staging of the race.
