Final round of Snowboard Cross World Cup held in Switzerland
Zoe Gillings-Brier came ninth in her last race of the season yesterday.
Competing at the final round of the Snowboard Cross World Cup in Switzerland, she qualified in 15th place on Friday, so was comfortably in the top 24 which went through to the heats.
Zoe then made it through the quarter-finals, but in the semis it wasn't to be
She told The Sport Package she was riding well but then misjudged how much speed she had and landed on the uphill instead of the downhill on a jump.
That killed her speed and Zoe said although she passed one girl later in the course it wasn't enough to get through into the final.
Third place in the small final gave her ninth overall, which Zoe says was a nice way to finish off the season.
