Zoe Gillings finished in tenth place at the opening World Cup Snowboard-Cross event in Telluride, USA, at the weekend.
Britain's number one Olympic snow sports athlete qualified in ninth position out of 30 on Thursday, which gave her third lane choice in the heats on Friday.
The Ronague star qualified for the semi-final, but that didn't quite go to plan.
Zoe caught her edge over one of the rollers and crashing out, effectively ending her bid for a medal.
She finished tenth overall, confirming her World ranking as tenth as well.
Speaking afterwards she said: 'I'm obviously disappointed that I didn't bring home a medal but I had a solid competition.
'I'm really looking forward to the next World Cup in Badgastein, Austria, in January.'
