
With a large number of athletes having achieved consideration standards for Glasgow 2014, hopes are high that the Manx Commonwealth Games team will be the biggest and strongest ever sent to the event.
President of the Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association Juliet Holt says that will depend on enough money being raised to finance the squad.
There was a major boost to fund-raising yesterday with Isle of Man Sport handing over a cheque for £15,000.
