Star retains Island Games crown

Manx athlete Catherine Reid has retained her Women's 400m title at the Gotland Island Games.

She finished in a time of 54.76 seconds and 1.57 seconds ahead of her closest rival.

Fellow Manx athlete Ashleigh Lachenicht was fourth.

Afterwards she explained what a long season it's been during her first year at college in the United States:-

Rachael Franklin has won silver in the 1500m which was won by Anna Tait of Orkney.

And Amber Sibbald has taken silver and Hannah Riley bronze in the 100m Hurdles in an incredibly tight final.

Only 0.12 of a second separated first from fourth.
