Thursday was a great day for the Isle of Man's Special Olympians, as they picked up their first gold medals in the Greek capital.
Equestrian David Dinham came in first in his event, and shortly afterwards Nicola Wooldridge also took gold in her singles bocce tournament.
There was a medal for 16-year-old shot putter Duncan Watterson in his first Special Olympics. He threw 9.8 metres with his final effort to take silver.
On the track, Ramsey's Laurence Dyer took bronze in the 10,000 metres in temperatures approaching 40 degrees Celsius, and cyclist Chris Hattersley got a bronze in the 10 kilometre time trial.
The Manx five-a-side football team beat Malta to go into Saturday's final.
