Sarah Astin and Gail Griffiths have struck gold at the Lancashire Cross-Country Championships at Witton Park in Blackburn.
Sarah was a clear winner of the under-17 girls race, finishing 30 seconds clear of her nearest rival, while Gail produced a strong performance to win the over 45s veteran ladies category.
She was seventh overall in the women’s event.
The party of athletes from Manx Harriers also secured three silver medals.
The senior men’s team, led by sixth placed Kevin Loundes, and the under 15 boys, led by seventh place finisher Ammon Yeardsley, sealed silver, as did Katie Astin in the under 13 girls, while David Mullarkey gained bronze in the under 11 boys.
Club coach Andy Fox says it's a terrific effort.
