Golf: Dawson sets new best LET finish in Switzerland

Manx player continues to improve during three-day event

Manx golfer Ana Dawson raised the bar once more at the weekend to secure her new highest finish on the Ladies European Tour.

Competing in the VP Swiss Bank Open at Golfpark Holzhausern in Switzerland from 15-17 September, Dawson ended the three-day event one a score of one-under-par to finish tied 33rd in the standings.

After finishing the first day at one-over-par, Dawson then consistently improved in the following two days.

Day two saw the Peel-born player finish on par before she went one shot better after making the cut for the final day.

It eclipses her previous highest placing in on the leaderboards of the tour of tied 39th spot which she managed at the Amundi German Masters back in June.

Her score of one-under-par at the weekend is also a joint-best LET score total for the Peel-born competitor - she also secured a one-under-par score in the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open on the 23 June to finish tied 45th for that particular competition.
