140 golfers take to Mount Murray in glorious weekend conditions
Keith Ward and Di Neale have been crowned winners of this year's Isle of Man Senior Championships in Isle of Man golf.
It comes after 140 players aged between 50 and 70 took to the course at Mount Murray Golf Club on Sunday (11 August) in sunny conditions.
The men's competition went down to the last group out with Keith Ward with his score of a one-over-par (72) seeing him pip his brother Jeff to top spot.
Meanwhile, Neale took on defending champion Shirley Price in the women's competition in a repeat of their semi-final showdown at the Isle of Man Golf Championships last month.
Having lost out in their last meeting, Neale got revenge to secure first place with Price having to settle for the runners-up spot.
The overall Isle of Man senior champion in the men's class is aged 55 and above whilst the women's champion is aged 50 and over with the winner the player with the lowest gross.
Elsewhere, the stableford classes were 50 to 59; 60 to 69 and 70 & above.
In the 50 to 59 groups Ramsey's Neil Atkinson scooped the men's top prize with Price of Port St Mary top of the pile in the equivalent female class.
Mount Murray's Keith Ward and Rowany's Claire Humphrey Jones were men's and women's winners respectively for the 60 to 69 group.
Finally, Rowany scooped both the male and female prizes in the Over-70's category courtesy of Alan Guy and Julie Heel.
