Business growth discussed by clubs
All the Island's eight golf clubs were represented at a business growth forum at Mount Murray yesterday.
It was organised by Isle of Man Golf, England Golf and Golf Unlimited.
It was designed to help promote good business practice and working together to grow numbers and attract visitors.
Many problems have been highlighted in the media recently and include falling membership numbers, too many clubs and the time it takes to play a round of golf.
Jane Carter of Golf Unlimited says the issues on the Island mirror what she sees in England:-
Athletics: Big Island turnout expected at Manchester Marathon
Football: Colby stun defending champions in Hospital Cup
Rugby: Douglas beaten in Regional 2 North West play-offs
Spirited FC Isle of Man lose out at Padiham
Hockey: IoM Women's Over-45's set for EH Championship semi-final
