
The Lieutenant Governor Vice Admiral Sir Paul Haddacks and Lady Haddacks hosted a reception at Government House last night for the Isle of Man Commonwealth Games team.
The biggest ever Manx squad of 33 athletes and 20 officials will be in Delhi for next month's gathering.
Six sports will be contested - Archery, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics and shooting.
In his speech, the Governor was particularly keen for the Isle of Man to maintain it's historical lead over Guernsey and Jersey.
He concluded by wishing all travelling to India well:-
