
Ollie Lockley celebrated his 21st birthday by taking victory in round two of the Microgaming Cross Country League on Sunday.
He completed the course at QEII High School in Peel in a time of 32 minutes, 31 seconds – five seconds ahead of Mark Dooley.
Alan Corlett was third.
Jim MacGregor, Paul Sykes, Paul Clarke, Geoff Rice, Murray Lambden, Ian Callister and Dave Corrin were the winners of the respective veterans classes.
Sarah Webster (26.59) took the women’s race from Rebecca Reynolds and Karen Shimmin.
Joseph Riccardi and Ellen Quane won the junior men’s and women’s races.
The other winners were Becks Storrie (under 17s), David Mullarkey and Ashleigh Lachenicht (under 15s), Ieuan Owen and Lorna Spiers (under 13s), TJ Phair and Mairi Harrison (under 11s) and Gethin Owen and Macy Hillier (under nines).
