On the day of the second sidecar race at TT 2010, local sidecar driver Nick Crowe has been reflecting on the horrific accident this time last year which almost cost him his life.
Nick and passenger Mark Cox crashed at high speed at Ballacobb on the first lap, which led to the event being red flagged.
They both spent months in hospital, and twelve months later are still recovering from their injuries.
On Manx Radio TT, Nick confirmed the crash was caused by his outfit colliding with a hare (play audio file):
Klaus Klaffenbock and his Manx passenger Daniel Sayle completed a 2010 sidecar TT double, with victory in the second race.
