Isle of Man player could make the first round this evening
Isle of Man pro tennis player Billy Harris has made it through to the third qualifying round of the US Open.
Harris took to court 10 last night (21 August) at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre as he battered away Murkel Dellien by two sets (6-1, 6-3).
The 29-year-old will now face Timofey Skatov of Kazakhstan on court 10 today (22 August) in the final round of qualifying.
However, a time is still yet to be confirmed.
If Harris wins this evening (UK time) he will then be into the main draw of the competition.
