Castletown take control in promotion race
Gymns’ promotion hopes have taken what may be an insurmountable setback.
That’s after they went down 1-0 at home to lowly Foxdale in JCK Division Two on Saturday.
Charlie Harrison scored the only goal of the game at Tromode on a day to remember for the Billy Goat Park club.
Castletown remain in the box seat for the second promotion spot after thrashing Pulrose 8-2.
Craig Cowin scored both for the home side but it was Town who were dominant.
Andrew Blake hit a hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Joel Callow, Alex Crawley (two), Jamie Cadwallader and Richard Foden.
Andy Glover hit four as Braddan thrashed Michael.
Adam McCulloch (three) and Connor Dempsey also found the net in an 8-0 success.
Onchan were 5-1 victors at bottom club Governor’s Athletic, courtesy of Nick Harvey, Mark Rees, James Kerruish, Ben Kelly and Rob Callow.
Steven Gallagher notched the consolation for the home side.
