Manx star Mark Higgins leads Rally Isle of Man after a dramatic last stage yesterday evening.
With most of the leading crews on dry tyres, they were caught out by heavy rain on the Cringle stage - the longest of the event at 13.66 miles.
Wilks had previously held the lead but Mark Higgins, with cuts in his slicks, was able to take advantage of the conditions to open up an eighteen second advantage.
Eamon Bolland is third with David Higgins in fourth place.
Mark was surprised to find out he was the overnight leader when he returned to the Grandstand:-
