Manxman Mark Higgins warmed up for next weekend’s final rounds of the British Rally Championship with victory in the Lake District on Saturday.
He won the Grizedale Rally alongside co-driver Nicky Grist and it was a Manx 1-2 celebration with local co-driver Rob Fagg alongside David Wright as they secured second place.
It was an emotional day for Grist, co-driver for the late Colin McRae, as he and Higgins steered a 1995 Factory Subaru to victory.
McRae was crowned world champion in 1995.
