Island snooker professional comes close to famous win
Isle of Man Snooker professional Darryl Hill gave five-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan a mighty scare in the first round of the German Masters qualifying last night (Wednesday).
‘The Rocket’ triumphed by five frames to four but was pushed all the way by Hill.
He edged the first frame and then scored a break of 62 on his way to going two games clear.
O’Sullivan promptly won the next three frames, including with a break of 105, but Hill hit back to lead 4-3 before O’Sullivan won the final two frames.
