Castletown player scores for national side during four-day tournament
Manx hockey player Archie Cox helped the England Red squad to a fourth-placed finish at this year's UK Boys School Games.
The event - held from Thursday to Sunday last week (29 Aug-1 Sept) - saw the Castletown HC competitor play against and alongside some of the biggest up-and-coming UK talents in the sport at Loughborough University.
England Red ended the pool stage with a 50/50 record - Cox scored for the national side in a 3-1 defeat to Ulster Red in their opening game before they responded with a 5-0 win over Wales.
Those two results meant England Red proceeded to the 3rd/4th place play-off in the boys tournament where they suffered a narrow 2-1 loss to Ulster White on Sunday (1 September).
In recent years the games have seen other Isle of Man hockey players involved including Sienna Dunn and Lexie Haig in 2022.
