Report by Ben Cunningham:
In the Mixed Premier League, Bacchas A will be hoping to keep up their winning start when they play Valkyrs B who just lost out to Valkyrs A last weekend.
Bacchas B play Valkyrs A with Bacchas B hoping they can get one over the current champions; elsewhere there is a game that looks a very evenly-matched game between Castletown Celts and Harlequins A, the southerners had opening weekend success but Harlequin’s narrowly lost to Vikings A; finally there is a derby between Vikings A and Vikings B.
In Mixed Division One, Ramsey A - who had a commanding victory on the opening weekend - play Bacchas C who also tasted victory last weekend.
Another team that had a commanding victory last weekend was Castletown Southerners who hit double figures when they beat Vikings C, this weekend the southerners welcome Valkyrs C who lost out to Bacchas C last time out; there is another Vikings derby in this league this time between Vikings C and Vikings D, when these two sides met last season the D team beat the C team... could this happen again?
In Mixed Division Two, Harlequins B got life in division two off to a great start with victory over Ramsey Ravens, this weekend they face a Castletown Cammags who also got off to a winning start.
Bacchas Colts who will be hoping they can keep their 100 per cent record up welcome Ramsey Ravens who will definitely want to make up for last weekends defeat; elsewhere Castletown Cushags play Valkyrs D, with both teams looking for the win after opening weekend defeats this could be a close game.
In Mixed Division Three, Castletown Cosney who got off to a winning start welcome Harlequins C who kick off their season this weekend after being on rest week last weekend.
Bacchas Mixed Bucks who made a strong statement being a newly-formed side play Castletown Carrick who lost out to their fellow Castletown team in this division last weekend; finally Vikings E meet Bacchas D in what looks to be a close game. Ramsey Rookies have a rest week this week so we will see them Bach in action next weekend.
In the Mixed U15’s League Harlequins play Vikings, Castletown Sabres play Bacchas and Ramsey play Valkyrs in a league that yet again looks to be just as entertaining as it was last year with lost of young Manx talent coming through.
