Report by Sam Spooner:
With Bacchas A taking the lead in the race for the Rossborough Men’s Premier League title Vikings A will be looking for a big win to recover when they take on their own B team this weekend. Bacchas A will be favourites when they take on the struggling Ramsey A who found their stride in the end last week and Valkyrs A take on their own B team making it two interclub derbies this week in the Men’s top flight.
The Rossborough Women’s Premier League sees another interclub derby between Valkyrs A and Valkyrs B and with all bar one Valkyrs team playing at the westerners home ground of QEII it will be a great day out for the clubs supporters. Elsewhere Bacchas A take on Castletown A with both sides harbouring dreams of at least finishing second, if not of a title challenge. Finally Vikings A take on Ramsey A and based on form this year, one would assume Vikings should come away with the win here.
Rossborough Men’s Division one sees Bacchas B take on the potential banana skin in Harlequins A. With the Quins big win last week their confidence will be high and Bacchas will need to be careful and be on top form. Castletown A travel to Douglas to take on Vikings C with the southerners favourites to take home both points.
Harlequin’s ladies travel to Peel this weekend to take on bottom side Valkyrs C in a top vs bottom clash. Vikings B will look to cement their title credentials when they take on Douglas rivals Bacchas B whose season hasn’t had the best of starts so far.
In the Rossborough Men’s Division Two Ramsey B will aim to close the gap at the top of the table when they take on 1st placed Harlequins B, Castletown Colts take on Bacchas C with both sides sitting level on points at the bottom of the table. Last but certainly not least 2nd placed Bacchas Colts will be looking to overcome Valkyrs C.
Rossborough Women’s Division Two sees Bacchas C take on league leaders Vikings C whilst Castletown Colts take on Castletown C in another Interclub Derby.
