Hockey: New mixed season getting underway this weekend

Senior and junior divisions to start campaigns on Saturday (9 Sept)

This weekend see the return of Manx hockey with the first week of fixtures. 

In the Rossborough Mixed Premier league, newly-promoted Harlequins face a tough start to life in the prem when they meet Bacchas A who will be looking for more silverware this season. Vikings A who will be hoping to give Bacchas A competition this season as Vikings A kick off their campaign playing Bacchas B. 

Elsewhere Valkyrs A welcome Castletown Celts to Peel and up north Ramsey A play Vikings B. 

In the Rossborough Mixed Division One, Castletown Cammags play Valkyrs B who will be looking for promotion. Valkyrs C play Castletown Southerners - it will be interesting to see which Castletown team in this league can finish the highest. 

Finally Bacchas C play Vikings C both teams hoping they can kickstart their seasons the right way. 

In the Rossborough Mixed Division Two, Castletown Cushags welcome Ramsey Ravens down south with both teams hoping to get points from this game. 

Vikings D welcome Bacchas Colts who were promoted up from Division Three - the last fixture in this league sees Valkyrs D meet Vikings E.

In the Rossborough Mixed Divison Three, our first club derby sees Harlequins B play Harlequins C; Bacchas D entertain Castletown Cosney and Ramsey Rookies play Castletown Carrick up to the north. 

Finally in the Rossborough Mixed U15’s, Harlequins play Vikings with this fixture known for having plenty of goals and being a very close match whilst Ramsey Rogues & Rascals play Valkyrs.
