Hockey: Opening fixtures of 2026 campaign confirmed

Latest men's and women's seasons to start next weekend (10 Jan)

The opening fixtures of the 2026 Manx hockey campaign have been confirmed.

The senior men's and women's leagues will get underway next Saturday (10 January) with the season to run from this month until late April.

Among the first showdowns, Bacchas Men's A will begin their Men's Premier League title defence against Castletown Men's A whilst reigning Ladies Premier League champions, Castletown A take on Bacchas Ladies A.

There will also be an opening day inter-club derby in the men's top flight between Vikings A and Vikings B.

Elsewhere, the dates for the rounds of this year's cup competitions have also been announced with the opening weekend scheduled for Saturday, 31 January.

The second phase will then be held on Saturday, 7 March followed by 'Finals Day' on Saturday, 25 April.

Six cup competitions are expected to feature again this season - the Men's Cup; Women's Cup; Men's Plate; Women's Plate; Men's Bowl and Women's Bowl.

Separately, next weekend will also see the resumption of the Mixed Under-15's League which has been running since September 2025.
