Youngsters dominant despite delays
The Isle of Man's under 14 girls' side have made it to the semi-finals of the England Hockey Tier Two Plate Competition.
The youngsters beat Thirsk 3-1 on 2 March with goals from Rhea Maher and Faith Teare.
They had to overcome a delay from the Manxman which saw them get to sleep at 2am before being on the road to Bolton at 9am.
However the travel disruptions clearly didn't affect the girls as they put on a dominant display and found themselves 3-0 up just after half time.
Thirsk manged to pull one back but it wasn't enough and the Manx girls will play in the semi-final in a few weeks' time.
Player of the match was awarded to Faith Watterson
