Powerlifting Isle of Man says former base in Castletown created 'barriers'
Powerlifting Isle of Man say it hopes more young people will join the sport when it moves in to a new designated centre in Douglas.
The organisation, formally known as 'Manx Powerlifting' was previously based at Revolution Gym in Castletown, however it recently acquired the keys to the former L'Experience building on Summerhill Road.
The aim is for the new space, which will be called the Powerlifting Isle of Man Performance & Development Centre, to be in operation by early next month.
Deputy Director of Operations Liz Young explained the challenges the organisation has faced previously:
