First ever woman to win overall
History was made at the Manx Harriers Open meeting at the National Sports Centre yesterday.
Hannah Hunter became the first ever female winner of the 20K race walk in the long history of the event.
Conditions were tricky with some rain and a strong and swirling wind.
Afterwards Hannah was delighted with her landmark victory:-
The top three were all women with Erika Kelly second and third place for Veronica Burke.
There was a cracking 10km race in the afternoon with Alan Corlett just holding off Andy Barron.
Making a comeback, Kevin Loundes took third and there was a personal best for Christian Varley who stayed with the leaders for most of the race.
