Yorkshireman suffered a stroke earlier in 2023
Could TT competitor Ian Hutchinson make a return to racing in 2024?
The 16-time TT winner has told BBC Sport Northern Ireland he's 'hoping to get something together in the new year' and is optimistic about regaining his racing licence in the coming months.
The Yorkshireman suffered a stroke whilst cycling in Spain in February - as part of standard protocol his racing licence was revoked for 12 months as a result, meaning he missed the 2023 Isle of Man TT Races.
Hutchinson goes on to tell BBC Sport NI: "I'm still waiting to get my licence back from the ACU in March but I have been doing some instructing and have passed all the tests they wanted me to do."
The rider still holds the record for the most TT wins in one race meeting, taking five individual victories during the 2010 event.
