Island rider was due to make debut this year
Isle of Man motorcycle racer, Illiam Quayle is having to sit out this year's North West 200.
In a statement, the Island rider says he's been informed that he hasn't completed the necessary number of laps as a newcomer to be eligible to start qualifying at the 'Triange Circuit.'
Furthermore, he claims he was not informed that he had to fulfill five full laps of the single six-lap newcomers session he took part in yesterday (6 May).
He goes on to say both he and Team ILR - who he'd been due to race for - are 'devastated' by the situation, also claiming that requests on their part to try and complete the necessary laps required at another suitable time have been denied.
Organisers of the North West 200 have been approached for comment.
