Part of new FIA European Rally Trophy series
Rally Isle of Man 2016 will return to full FIA International status for the first time in almost twenty years.
The latest good news for the September event is it will be part of a new series - the FIA European Rally Trophy.
As part of that - Rally Isle of Man will be the deciding round of the Celtic Rally Trophy which includes the West Cork Rally, International Rally of the Lakes, Donegal International Rally and the Ulster Rally.
Rally Isle of Man is already a round of the MSA British Rally Championship, Irish Tarmac Rally Championship, British Historic Rally Championship and the HRHC Historic Championship.
Rally Isle of Man runs from Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th September.
