Plans will see association provide year round training
The Isle of Man Cricket Association has submitted plans for a new state-of-the-art cricket centre.
The proposed facility, which will be based in the former Panelcraft building on Carrs Lane in Tromode, aims to provide year-round training for all ages and will also serve as the base for the association.
Four dedicated lanes have been included in the plans, with further space for coaching and development.
Chairman Mike Haywood says: "This marks a major milestone for the Isle of Man Cricket Association.
"Having a dedicated home for cricket allows us to strengthen our operations, enhance the delivery of our programmes, and provide a central hub for the sport on the Island."
It's also hoped the centre will develop the sport in schools and the wider community.
Cricket Development Officer Greig Wright says: "Having a purpose-built indoor centre will transform how we can deliver coaching and development.
"It means we can train all year round, run specialist sessions, and create a real hub for cricketing excellence."
The application will be considered by the planning committee in due course.
