Six local sport professionals to speak at event
In sport we couldn't do it without them - the behind the scenes heroes. The one's that push athletes to their limit then demand more because they know there's more to give, even when the worker doesn't think so themselves.
I am, of course, talking about coaches:
The Isle of Man Sport Coaching Festival is taking place next month.
It was very close to being cancelled because of the pandemic but, in true sporting fashion, it dug in deep and is set to go ahead at the NSC on Saturday 12 and Sunday, 13 September.
Six speakers from various backgrounds in the sporting world from nutritian to pyschology will be at the event, giving coaches the opportunity to learn new skills and ideas; and there's food.
Trevor Christian from IOM Sport spoke to Rhian Evans who asked him if the pandemic had impacted plans for the course:
Tickets for the festival of coaching are now available. You can get them and also find out more about the speakers and schedule here.
