Defending champions face hosts, Guernsey tonight (26 June)
The Isle of Man women's national football team will begin its campaign at the 2026 Cherry Godfrey Cup this evening (26 June).
A 16-strong Manx squad is taking on the two-day tournament at Victoria Park in Guernsey across Friday, 26 June and Saturday, 27 June with Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Wight also taking part.
What's more, the Isle of Man heads into the event as defending champions having won the inaugural edition of the competition in Jersey in 2024.
Ahead of tonight's opener against the hosts, Isle of Man women's team manager, Wayne Lisy says they're feeling confident about their chances of defending their crown and that this competition provides a great opportunity for all involved:
Tonight's match between the Isle of Man and Guernsey will now get underway at the earlier time of 6pm at Victoria Park after the schedule was altered due to travel disruption affecting one of the teams.
After that, Jersey will take on the Isle of Wight at 8.45pm at the same venue.
Heading into this week's test, the Isle of Man had already claimed friendly victories last month over both Preston North End and FC United of Manchester.
