Christa Cain the pick of the Manx runners
Ten athletes from the Isle of Man have competed at the Berlin marathon.
The event took place on Sunday (29 September) with Christa Cain's result the standout from the Manx contingent.
She ran a time of 2:42:12 which placed her 51st in the women's rankings and second overall for the Island by only 20 seconds.
Impressively the athlete ran a negative split as the second half of her run was quicker than the first by more than two minutes.
Shaun McEntee and Mark Burman were the pick of the men's runners as they were the only two to run under 1 hour and 50 minutes as Shaun managed 1:41:52 while Mark ran 1:43:49.
John Quaye, Steve Downward, Simon Scott, Rebecca Harding, Bernie Johnson, Rumen Valev and Melissa Bills made up the rest of the Manx contingent of runners.
