Castletown resident Jonathan Rea claimed his second double victory of the season at Assen to move 50 points clear in the World Superbike Championship.
The Kawasaki rider, who has won six of this year's eight races, has 190 points for the season with Aprilia rider Leon Haslam his nearest rival on 140.
In the first race yesterday (Sunday, April 19th), Rea was a second clear of Welshman Chaz Davies with Dutch rider Michael van der Mark third.
The second race had an identical 1-2-3.
Another Island resident, Britain's Cal Crutchlow, finished an impressive third in last night's Argentine MotoGP.
The race was won by championship leader Valentino Rossi.
He benefited from title-holder Marc Marquez crashing late on while leading.
