Now Playing The Supremes Nothing But Heartaches

It's Braddan v Castletown

Easter Saturday final

Braddan will meet Castletown in the final of the GH Corlett Woods Cup.

That’s after two one-sided semi-finals on Saturday.

A contentious early sending-off ended Pulrose’s hopes of causing a surprise at competition favourites Braddan.

An Andy Glover hat-trick, a Stuart Pacey double and a Michael Hutton goal ultimately fired them to a 6-2 victory.

Darren Flanagan had given the visitors a surprise early lead but Chris Cowin was shown a red card after being adjudged to have handled on the line and Glover equalised from the spot as Braddan took charge.

Barry English pulled one back for Pulrose, while the home side also finished with 10 men after James Delaney was sent-off for kicking out.

They will meet Castletown in the final on Easter Saturday after they added Gymns to their cup scalps.

After seeing off Douglas Royal in the quarter-finals, Town brushed aside the Tromode side 7-2.

Gymns never recovered from an early injury to goalkeeper James Brown who suffered a suspected broken leg within the first few minutes.

Castletown took advantage of the visitors’ concern and ran out comfortable winners, courtesy of a hat-trick from substitute Alex Crawley, a Dan McLaughlin double and goals from Ash Sansbury and Chris Hawthorne.

An own goal and a Jordan Cooper penalty provided the Gymns reply.
