Theodore Sloane takes big win out in Dublin
A junior Isle of Man jiu-jitsu competitor has become the Island's youngest ever European champion in the sport.
Eight-year-old Theodore Sloane went on to win his class and take gold whilst representing Summit Grappling Academy at the recent IBJJF European Championships in Dublin.
Having impressed in victories in the quarter-final and semi-final stages, Sloane took the win his final via referee decision to claim top honours in a tightly-contested match.
He was one of two Summit Grappling Academy members involved in the meeting along with seasoned competitor, Alan Greenhalgh who took part in the yellow belt division.
After winning his semi-final via submission, Greenhalgh went on to take the silver medal in his category after narrowly missing out in the final by advantages against the reigning division champion.
