'Pocket Rocket' hails successful bid
A Manx former professional cyclist says it's 'fantastic' the Isle of Man will once again host the British National Road Championships.
It was announced earlier this week the event would be held here for the first time in 22 years, in June this year.
Steve Joughin, the 'Pocket Rocket', won the men's road race on home soil in 1984.
He says it's great news the championships are back on the Island, given its cycling pedigree:
FC Isle of Man thrashed by ruthless Atherton
FC Isle of Man to host in-form Atherton LR
Rugby: Douglas' play-off quest to continue against Firwood Waterloo
Football: FA Cup & Woods Cup continue on busy weekend schedule
