Jet car makes Island appearance
A drag racing car, coined 'one of the most spectacular in the UK', is making an appearance at Jurby today (Sat 1).
'Split Second' is a flaming, parachute-deploying jet car driven by Julian Webb.
It's the headline attraction at this weekend's Straightliners Jurby Drag Racing event, which takes place across today and tomorrow.
Spectators can expect plenty of noise, smoke and rare photo opportunities, as the jet car joins other high-powered vehicles - on both four wheels and two - as they attempt to go as fast as they can down the track.
