Club withdraws first team from Premier league
One of the Island's football clubs will only enter one team into the senior men's leagues this season, the Isle of Man Football Association has confirmed.
Castletown FC will just have one in JCK Combination One, so there will be no first team in the Canada Life Premier League.
They will also be entered into the Ascot Hotels Junior Cup.
The FA hopes the decision will allow Castletown FC time to increase their numbers and encourage players to sign for the club, so they can enter two teams for the 2020/21 season.
It will also reportedly help the club with their Football Foundation obligations.
Castletown will be relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season, meaning only one additional side will go down.
