Joe Kelly has become the eighth Manx cyclist to be selected for the Great Britain Olympic Academy programme.
He joins Christian Varley, Mark Cavendish, Jonny Bellis, Peter Kennaugh, Mark Christian, Tim Kennaugh and Chris Whorrall, who all benefitted from the scheme.
The 18-year-old has been picked on the strength of his performances for Manx Viking Wheelers and Team Isle of Man-Microgaming.
He is the first member of the Wheelers to be selected since Varley.
The others were all members of the Manx Road Club.
