Mark Cavendish won't be the only Manx cyclist starting the Giro d'Italia on Saturday.
Twenty-one-year-old Peter Kennaugh has been named in Team Sky's nine-man squad.
He began a grand tour event last season, but Team Sky abandoned their effort at the Tour of Spain after the death of one of the backroom staff as a result of a bacterial infection.
Kennaugh will be riding in support of general classification contender Thomas Lovkvist.
