Both are competing at their third Commonwealth Games this year
Swimmer, Laura Kinley and cyclist, Mark Cavendish, will be the Isle of Man flagbearers at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
The ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday, 28 July at the Alexander Stadium, with the games running through until the closing ceremony on Monday, 8 August.
Laura will be competing at her third Commonwealth Games in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events.
Cavendish is also competing in his third Commonwealth Games in the Men's Road Race and is a games gold medallist having won the 20km scratch race in Melbourne in 2006.
