Blue Point the venue for competition
Thirty-four shooters turned out for the annual English Skeet Manx Championship at Ayre Clay Target Club’s Blue Point Range on Sunday.
It doubled up as the fifth round of the Skeet Summer League.
Marty Kneen was the winner, scoring 97/100.
Stan Cross and Neil Parsons were tied on 96 for the silver position; Parsons took the silver after a shoot-off.
Jack Kneen beat Ted Davis to the junior title, with Shannon Roberts taking third place.
First place in A Class went to Jeff Corkill, B Class was won by Jack Kneen, with C Class being won by Glyn Hooson-Owen.
Results of 50-target league shoot:
A Class: 1, Neil Parsons 49/50; 2 = Jeff Corkill, Stan Cross, Ted Davis and Marty Kneen 47.
B Class: 1, Jack Kneen 48; 2, Martin Malone 46; 3 = Jack Clague, Bob Corlett and Peter Fabrizio 44.
C Class: 1, Glyn Hooson-Owen 45; 2 = David Roberts and Irene Stockil 44.
This coming weekend at Blue Point it's the third round of the English Sporting league.
