David Knight crashed out on the opening test of day two of the International Six Day Enduro in Portugal.
He managed to ride back to the pit area but was taken to hospital for precautionary x-rays to his back and neck.
Reports suggest he returned later to watch some of the racing.
After the opening day on Monday, Knight was the leading E2 rider and fourth in the overall individual standings.
