Midweek date to try and get tie played
After two weekends of postponements, the first Cu Plas Railway Cup semi-final is scheduled to take place at Mullen-e-Cloie this evening.
But there will be a pitch inspection at St. John's at eleven o'clock this morning after more wet weather this week.
Laxey and St. George's have agreed to play the game in midweek under the floodlights in an attempt to get the match played.
If it is postponed, Saturday is the last chance for the match to be played ahead of the planned final on Boxing Day.
The other semi-final between Peel and Rushen is due to take place at Douglas Road on Saturday afternoon but there is a contingency in place to switch the tie to Croit Lowey if the Peel playing surface is unfit.
