TT star Lee Johnston hurt in separate incident
Manx road racer Billy Redmayne has been taken by airmed to Middlesborough Hospital after a serious crash at the Spring Cup meeting at Oliver's Mount in Scarborough yesterday (Sunday).
The organising Auto 66 Racing Club says the Manx Grand Prix Junior race winner ‘is now breathing on his own and his condition is improving’.
Laxey rider Redmayne came off after a restart to the feature race which was originally stopped after an incident involving TT star Lee Johnston.
Johnston is believed to have suffered a leg injury.
At this stage it is not known how long either rider will be out of action.
Redmayne is scheduled to make his TT debut next month.
The race meeting at Oliver's Mount was abandoned after the two incidents.
